ADEY’s MagnaClean is the industry’s leading name in magnetic filtration. ADEY has an extensive range of products that can help resolve central heating problems such as cold spots in your radiators, low heat levels or excessively noisy systems. Magnaclean is a popular product installed into over three million homes throughout Europe.
Magnaclean helps to protect central heating systems and boilers against damaging black sludge, this ‘black sludge’ is formed from a natural build-up of black iron oxide which will quickly impair heating system performance, eventually causing boiler damage or breakdown which could prove to be expensive to repair.
Installing a Magnaclean and ensuring your heating system is topped up with ADEY’s MC+ chemicals will help to protect your heating system, improve efficiency and help your boiler last longer. Without the black sludge in your system hot water is able to circulate more efficiently, flowing at a higher pressure, which means as a homeowner you won’t need to use as much energy to heat up your home.
Independent test have shown you could save up to £66 per year on your central heating bills. You could also benefit from lower CO2 emissions by up to 250kgs a year, and improve the lifespan of your boiler.

Even a small build-up of sludge results in the following system failings and aggravation for millions of householders:
- Noisy boiler
- Radiator cold spots / cold at the bottom
- Low heat levels – always needing to turn up the thermostat
- Leaking valves
- Higher than necessary energy bills
- Wasted energy
- Central heating system maintenance call outs and costs
- Central heating system part failure and breakdown
Magnaclean Filter Installation
A Magnaclean filter installation should be undertaken by a professional heating engineer. In determining a suitable location which allows adequate access for servicing, the installation could take approximately 4 hours. The central heating system will need to be drained and isolated, and pipes cut to fit the Magnaclean filter.
