The Nest Learning Thermostat gives you precise control of the temperature and creates a personalised schedule for your home. The Nest Thermostat replaces your programmer so you can control heating from one place. Instead of turning off the boiler for long periods, you’ll add very low temperatures to your schedule, this will save energy while keeping your family and your pipes safe in extreme weather.
It’s intelligent. It will turn the heat down when you leave your property, turn it up when you come home, down at night etc. Within a week, your Nest Thermostat learns the temperatures you like and creates a personalised schedule for your home. So, even if you pop out but forget to turn the heating off, the Nest thermostat will turn itself down.
However if you want to edit your schedule then every day can be different. Whether you set it to 20.5° at 19:00 or 20° at 19:15, the Nest smart heating control will listen and keep on learning.
Once the Nest Thermostat is connected to Wi-Fi, you can use the Nest app to control it from a phone or tablet. This means you can change the temperature before you get to your property. You can log into nest.com from your phone, tablet, PC or Mac to edit your thermostat’s schedule, adjust settings, or check how much heat you used yesterday.
After about a month with your new thermostat, you’ll be e-mailed a Nest Home Report. You’ll also be given tips to save energy and show you how people are using the Nest Thermostat across the country. The more you know, the sooner you can find the perfect balance of comfort and energy savings for your home.

Unlike the Worcester Bosch Wave, the Nest works with most central heating systems.

- Zoned systems (one Nest Thermostat per zone)
- Switched live systems
- Low voltage (dry contact) systems
If you have a zoned system, each zone needs its own Nest Thermostat and Heat Link.
