Gravity Grand Prix Cookham 2022
Another fantastic Gravity Grand Prix event. The sun was shining upon Cookham Dean and the community came out in their thousands. This has to be one on the best local community events of the year, and 2022 certainly didn’t disappoint.
Best Bathtub and Shower in Cookham
Once again it was the fun factor that we went for with our kart. However, we were keen to significantly improve the karts speed and race times. Subsequently, we smashed it. Although, no land speed records this year.
The new bathtub design was superbly constructed. It had suspension and a very solid chassis to withstand the heavy duty steel bathtub.
The kart was equipped with some cool gadgets, which included bubbles being blown from the rear and water sprayed from the sides. Additionally, the kart had an appropriate duck themed shower curtain and towel rail front grill. Plus, all the accessories one would need for a luxurious bath. Candles, back scrubber, it had the lot.
Furthermore, it was also pretty quick. In fact, the new kart was over a minute quicker than previous years and our drivers put in some really respectful times. Luckly, they also walked away with their lives, as it appeared the kart didn’t have the best brakes. But who needs brakes anyway.
ANNUAL SUMMER BBQ
As we have in previous years, the Evans Group (which Heppelthwaite The Red Van Plumbers are a part of), hosted a BBQ party for all staff, family and friends. The turnout was great with approximately 100 people attending over the course of the day.

OFFICAL RESULTS
Last year we came second from last. Only because one kart didn’t make it to the bottom. This year we weren’t far off a top 10 place. Next year we will do it.
