Vaillant Combi Boilers

A Vaillant combi boiler provides efficient heating and instant hot water from a single compact unit. Without the need for a separate hot water cylinder or cold water storage tank, a Vaillant combination boiler is a practical and space-saving choice for many homes.

As accredited Vaillant installers, our Gas Safe registered engineers fit the full Vaillant combi range and will recommend the right model for your property and heating requirements.

What Is a Vaillant Combi Boiler?

A combi boiler, short for combination boiler, provides both heating and hot water from a single unit. It heats water directly from the mains when needed, so there is no requirement for a separate hot water cylinder or cold water storage tank.

Vaillant combi boilers are often a good choice for homes with one or two bathrooms where space is limited. If you’re unsure whether a combi, system or regular boiler is best for your property, our engineers can advise on the most suitable option.

The Vaillant Combi Boiler Range

Vaillant is one of the UK’s most recognised boiler manufacturers and has consistently been regarded as a leading name in gas heating. Their combi boiler range covers three models, each designed for different property sizes and requirements. All are A rated for efficiency.

Vaillant ecoTEC Plus Combi

The ecoTEC plus is Vaillant’s flagship combi boiler and one of the most widely installed in the UK. Remastered with a modern design and improved efficiency, it suits medium to larger homes with one or two bathrooms.

Available outputs: 26kW, 32kW, 36kW and 40kW

Key features:

  • A rated efficiency with IoniDetect technology for precise combustion control and reduced wear
  • Compatible with the myVAILLANT connect internet gateway for smart heating control
  • Standard 5 year guarantee, extendable to up to 10 years when installed by an accredited myREWARDS installer with the correct filter registered

Vaillant ecoTEC Pro Combi

The ecoTEC pro is designed for smaller to medium sized homes where efficiency and simplicity matter. It uses modulating technology to adapt to your heating demand, which helps reduce running costs without sacrificing comfort. The easy to read display makes day to day operation straightforward.

Available outputs: 24kW, 28kW and 30kW

Key features:

  • A rated efficiency with stainless steel heat exchanger
  • Quiet Mark certified on the 28kW and 30kW models
  • Standard 2 year guarantee, extendable to up to 10 years with an accredited installer

Vaillant ecoFIT Pure Combi

The ecoFIT pure is Vaillant’s compact combi option, designed to fit into a standard kitchen cupboard. It is lightweight, efficient and available with a rear flue option for flexible positioning. A reliable choice for homes where space around the boiler is limited.

Available outputs: 25kW, 30kW and 35kW

Key features:

  • A rated for both heating and hot water efficiency
  • Powerful aluminium heat exchanger for consistent performance
  • Standard 2 year guarantee, extendable to up to 10 years with an accredited myREWARDS installer and correct filter

The ecoFIT pure is also available as a system and regular boiler. If you have an existing traditional heating system, visit our Vaillant boilers page for more detail.

Vaillant Combi Boiler Comparison

Not sure which combi model suits your home? Here is a quick guide.

ecoTEC Pro | Small to medium homes | 24kW, 28kW, 30kW | Combi only

Is a Vaillant Combi Boiler Right for Your Home?

A combi boiler works well in many homes, but it is not the right choice for every property. Here is a straightforward guide.

A Vaillant combi boiler is likely to be a good fit if:

  • Your home has one or two bathrooms
  • You don’t have high simultaneous hot water demand
  • Want to free up space by removing a cylinder or loft tanks
  • Are replacing an existing combi boiler on a like for like basis

A system or regular boiler may be a better option if:

  • Your home has three or more bathrooms
  • Multiple people regularly use hot water at the same time
  • You have an existing cylinder setup that works well for your household

If you are unsure which type suits your home, our engineers will assess the property and give you honest advice. We never recommend a combi boiler where a system or regular boiler would serve a household better. Visit our main Vaillant boilers page for an overview of all three types, or read our boiler installation guide for more detail.

Vaillant Combi Boiler Guarantees

The ecoTEC plus range comes with a standard 5 year guarantee. The ecoTEC pro and ecoFIT pure both come with a standard 2 year guarantee. All three models can be extended to up to 10 years when installed by an accredited myREWARDS installer and registered with the correct Vaillant boiler protection kit or filter.

As accredited Vaillant installers, we register your boiler and guarantee directly with Vaillant as part of the installation process.

FAQs – Vaillant Combi Boilers

We offer a complete range of boiler and heating services across Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, West London, Oxfordshire and surrounding counties. Here are some frequently asked questions about Vaillant Combination Boilers.

What is the difference between a Vaillant combi and a system boiler?

A combi boiler heats water on demand directly from the mains. A system boiler works alongside a hot water cylinder, storing heated water for use when needed. A combi suits smaller homes with one or two bathrooms. A system boiler is a better fit for larger homes with higher hot water demand or multiple bathrooms.

Which Vaillant combi boiler is best for my home?

The right model depends on your property size, the number of bathrooms and your hot water demand. The ecoTEC plus suits medium to larger homes, the ecoTEC pro is designed for smaller properties and the ecoFIT pure is ideal where boiler space is limited. Our engineers will assess your home and recommend the correct output before any work is booked.

How long does a Vaillant combi boiler last?

A well maintained Vaillant combi boiler typically lasts between 10 and 15 years. Annual servicing is the most important factor in achieving that lifespan and protecting the manufacturer guarantee.

Do I need a powerflush before a new Vaillant combi boiler is installed?

Not always, but we recommend one if your existing system is more than a few years old or if there are signs of sludge in the pipework. Fitting a new boiler onto a dirty system causes premature wear and reduces efficiency. We will always assess the system first and advise accordingly.

How long does a Vaillant combi boiler installation take?

Most straightforward combi boiler replacements take between one and two days. If additional work is required, such as a powerflush or changes to the flue position, we will give you a clear programme before we start.

What guarantee comes with a Vaillant combi boiler?

The ecoTEC plus comes with a standard 5 year guarantee. The ecoTEC pro and ecoFIT pure come with a standard 2 year guarantee. All three can be extended to up to 10 years when installed by an accredited myREWARDS installer with the correct filter registered.
